Enjoyed that last, did you, mates? Glad if you found it useful.

I've got other things to offer you in me pedlar's pack. Things that use items you might find round an about. Things a resourceful bloke might half-inch if he couldn't beg or borrow em. Know what I mean?

F'rinstance. When I'm workin out a town, I'm always selling caustic soda to witches fer makin soap--them wot can't do all their cleanin by elf nor by charms. You'd be surprised how many don't nor can't.

Anywizickers, there's loads o uses fer caustic soda. Caustic potash, too, innit? (An pretty much anyfin yeh do wiv one yeh can do wiv t'other.) So there's loads o places you might find it lye-in about, eh? An if you should happen to have some, here's how you make it ready fer usin:

If it's the dry flake kind (ravver than the kind wot's already wet), then you'll want a large metal pail or bowl--tin, aluminium, or even brass'll do. Put yer caustic into the pail--half full if you've enough to do it.

An then all you've gotta do is add hot water. Warm'll do if you haven't a way to heat it. In fact, the caustic'll heat the water a bit as you add it. Don't be surprised if it looks to be boilin: that's just an illusion, but to be safe, do hold the spout of your pourin bucket close to the pail so as to avoid splashin. Watch close to see that the caustic dissolves well an good.

An once you've got it, I'm sure you can think of all sorts o nice things to do wiv it. Places to splash it out. Things to dip in it. Yer clever lads, so yeh'll know what to do. Am I right?
